Online Notarization

A Notary Public Online has all the powers of a Commissioner for taking Oaths and Affidavits. In Ontario Canada, they are designated by virtue of office and their authority does not expire.

  • A notary can verify that signatures, marks, and copies of documents are true and genuine.

  • They can also witness, attest to and certify documents like Wills and Power of Attorney.

  • Notarized documents can be used locally within Canada as well as internationally.

  • Documents that are notarized for international use may require authentication. Please consult with the recipient, prior to booking your appointment.

How does the remote signing process work?

  1. The notarization takes place by an electronic method of communication in which the commissioner and the deponent can see, hear, and communicate with each other in real time throughout the entire transaction.

  2. The notary confirms the identity of the deponent.

  3. A modified version of the jurat is used that indicates: a. Commissioning was administered in accordance with the Regulation, and b. The location of the commissioner and the deponent at the time of commissioning.

  4. Once completed, the signed document is sent to you by email.
